APPRECIATED STOCK GIFTS
One of the most satisfactory ways to give a gift is through appreciated stock. Giving stocks, bonds, and mutual fund shares that have increased in value (and which you have owned for more than one year) provides greater tax benefits than giving cash. Not only can you deduct the full market value of the securities but, you can also avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciation.
Talk to your financial advisor or broker about making a stock gift and please contact Lynn Kelley, Treasurer, Rose Valley Centennial Foundation, at info@rosevalley100.org or 610-565-9845 so we can send you a Notice of Transfer form with all the pertinent information you will need to facilitate your stock gift.
IRA CHARITABLE ROLLOVER OR A QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION (QCD)
A win win for everyone! We want to put as many options out there as we can as a potential benefit to every capital campaign donor. For those who qualify, you may want to consider An IRA charitable rollover or a qualified charitable distribution (QCD).
- This is money that individuals who are 70½ or older may direct from their traditional IRA to the RVCF.
- The provision has a cap of $100,000 for charitable distributions from individual IRAs each year.
- The provision is permanent now.
- The amount transferred directly to the RVCF will count toward the required minimum distribution for the year.*
- Talk to your accountant or financial advisor for more details to see if it is right for you. This is a great way to make a gift to The Rose Valley Museum at Thunderbird Lodge Campaign! Please contact Lynn Kelley, Treasurer, Rose Valley Centennial Foundation, at 610-565-9845 or info@rosevalley100.org to find out more.
*This assumes that the required minimum distribution has not yet been taken.
BEQUESTS
Have you considered naming the Rose Valley Centennial Foundation in your estate planning?
We encourage you to consult an attorney for estate planning purposes or an accounting professional for advice on what may work best for you to accomplish your personal financial and charitable goals. Naming the Foundation in your Will provides you with the opportunity to make a legacy gift. We understand the importance of exploring estate planning options that may enable you to make a larger gift than originally anticipated. Please contact info@rosevalley100.org or Lynn Kelley, Treasurer, Rose Valley Centennial Foundation, at 610-565-9845 for more information.

MATCHING GIFTS
Does your business or employer match employee charitable contributions? If so, this is an easy way to double or even triple the impact of your donation to RVCF for the Capital Campaign! Please consider taking the time to contact your Human Resources Department to find out if your employer matches charitable gifts.
GIFTS OF LIFE INSURANCE
You can designate RVCF as the beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy. Although there is no tax deduction for making this revocable gift, your estate will be entitled to an estate tax deduction if the insurance proceeds are ultimately paid to The Foundation.
